Welcome! This page is dedicated to one of the most important chapters in tricking's history.
Loopkicks Legacy is an homage to the birth of tricking, with a focus on the early
Bilang-era efforts of Team Loopkicks, from inception and their first camp in 2004 to the
explosion in popularity of the discipline following the 2008 night show battles. It details
some of the major influences of the time, including the generation before and some of the
key players who helped shape tricking into what it is today.
Why Make This?
This year is the 20th anniversary of the first Loopkicks Camp & Gathering. The time feels right to reflect on how far
tricking has come and credit the pioneers who sparked the movement by telling their story. Team Loopkicks
did not start tricking all on their own, but their influence was among the most significant in its
early development. With their presence tricking grew from just one aspect of performance martial arts to a
stand-alone discipline with a unique identity, and theirs is the only name to span the entirety of our
timeline.
What's Next?
I will continue to update this page. When the actual video is ready it will be featured here, and I
will also be updating the credits/sources section with everything that ends up being used for this project.
